The Elizabethton Covered Bridge is the 1882 Howe truss over the Doe River that most visitors photograph downtown, with Covered Bridge Park on both banks. Monarch Mountain Cabins is about 10 minutes from that park, at 327 Jenkins Hollow Rd. Two private cabins, each with a hot tub, on five wooded acres. You are not sleeping on Elk Avenue. You are a short drive from the bridge, then back in the trees.

Use the bridge as a photo stop and a park loop. Elk Avenue has food and errands. No. Plan on about 10 minutes by car. It is a downtown landmark, not a trail from Jenkins Hollow.
Are the cabins on the Doe River?
We are not riverfront. The Doe runs through town by the bridge. You get the park and the river as a short outing, and the woods at night.
